Beverly Public Schools Announce Finalists for Superintendent
BEVERLY – The Beverly School Committee tonight voted to name Peter Cushing, Jennifer Turner, and Sean Gallagher as the finalists for Superintendent of the Beverly Public Schools.
Dr. Cushing, Dr. Turner, and Mr. Gallagher were recommended to the School Committee by a Screening Committee composed of members of our community such as students, caregivers, parents, educators, school and district administrators, as well as Mayor Michael Cahill and School Committee Chair Rachael Abell. Field Director Alicia Mallon of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC) is coordinating the search on behalf of the School Committee.
“We are pleased with the pool of qualified candidates who applied for this role and are eager for the community to meet, hear from, and question these leaders in the next phase of this process,” said Abell. “Our schools need a leader who can carry on the strong work of Superintendent Suzanne Charochak and who is committed to our mission, vision, and values for Beverly Schools now and into the future.”
